Founder & President - MBA

Michael is the founder and President of LifeShield Health. He is responsible for the firm's overall strategy, team, and product development. Michael leads the company in its mission to deliver
the best infection control solutions to the healthcare industry.

Over the course of 29 years Michael has developed a reputation as an experienced, mission
-oriented entrepreneur and inventor. His career started by developing cutting-edge products and solutions for the nascent digital audio recording and music touring industries. His clients included most major rock touring acts at the time. By the mid-nineties Michael was fully immersed in the computer industry developing data storage products such as RAID and optical data-jukebox
systems, while launching global corporate sales for DynaTek Automation Systems.

In 1999 Michael founded and launched Acomdata which quickly became the number 1 supplier of consumer-level data storage solutions through the US retail channel both branded and OEM, once again leading his industry with the world's first multi-interface data storage systems, multi-format card readers and much more. In 2009 Michael founded Spyder Digital Research to develop and sell high-end mobile accessories targeted to industry verticals such as healthcare, pioneering the use of antimicrobials. This directly led to the creation of LifeShield Health in 2016.

Tom Rolfe

Tom Rolfe

Tom joined LifeShield Health in 2015 to manage finance and operations, and bring his wealth of experience to help guide overall strategy. Mr. Rolfe has worked for over 35 years in 48 countries helping companies large and small to improve their products and businesses. Prior to 1997, Mr. Rolfe’s focus was on large, complex multi‐national corporations such as Boeing, United Technologies, Daimler Benz, Rolls Royce, BT, Philips and others. In 1997 he joined the famous McKenna Group as a partner and switched his focus to helping early stage companies stabilize and grow their businesses. Two recent examples are; Synfuels International Inc. which, in partnership with Texas A&M University, developed and commercialized a method to efficiently produce gasoline and jet fuel from natural gas and SKYCIG which became the leading manufacturer and provider of electronic cigarettes into the UK market and which was sold to a large US public corporation. Mr. Rolfe is named on two patents and has guest lectured at UC Berkeley Haas Business School and Oxford University’s Templeton College.

Ed Peterson

Ed Peterson

Chemical Engineer – BS, MS, PhD

Ed provides LifeShield with expertise in Engineering Science, Polymer Science and Process Engineering Fundamentals while assisting in development of intellectual property. Dr. Peterson has 30+ years of experience in the oil, gas and chemical industries, ranging from basic research to process engineering of major chemical and petroleum plants. Most recently with KBR, he has also worked for Synfuels International, Shell Global Solutions, GE Energy, Dow Chemical, Conoco and S&B Engineers and Constructors. Dr Peterson received his Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University in 1985 and his M.S. from Rice University in 1981, both in Chemical Engineering. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. Ed has 24 US patents in areas encompassing polymer design, medical device design, reactor design, chemical provess technology and catalytic hydrogenation. His most recent granted patents lay the foundation for low cost high value gas transport from the US and Middle East to converters around the world.

Digital Marketing & HR - BSc, CYW, DMM

Valeska joined LifeShield to bring it's branding and marketing to life and to help assemble the right team to tell the world about our groundbreaking solutions. After completing her BSc at Mt. Allison University, Valeska pursued Child Youth Psychology studies at Humber College in Toronto. Shortly after joining Project Canoe, Valeska was thrown into management and marketing and rose to the occasion. Since then, she has been immersed in the fast-changing modern world of marketing, further supplementing her knowledge with Digital Marketing studies at the University of Toronto.
